The American Meat Institute (AMI) bestowed multiple awards to all Sara Lee meat plants in 2011 for their exemplary safety records and management of environmental matters. To read more, click here. In April 2011, Forbes magazine released its ranking of “America’s Most Reputable Companies.” For the second year in a year, Sara Lee captured a spot in the top ten coming in at No. 8. The YWCA of Metro Chicago recognized the Sara Lee Foundation for its generous support of the YWCA Patterson and McDaniel Family Center and the women’s empowerment project at the Glendale Heights, Ill., site. The People’s Resource Center (PRC), a Wheaton, Ill.-based assistance organization helping local families in need, presented Sara Lee with its “Beloved Community Award” in 2010. |
